Accessibility
Last reviewed: August 27, 2026
Ascent Living Communities wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we think about operating buildings, and it is part of how this site was built.
Our standard
This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What that looks like here
The site uses semantic HTML with proper landmarks and heading structure, a skip link to main content, and full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators. Text color contrast meets AA ratios, checked programmatically across every page. All type is set at 16 pixels or larger. Images carry text alternatives, form fields carry visible labels, the state map is described in text for screen readers, and animation is disabled automatically for visitors who have asked their system to reduce motion. Pages reflow for screen magnification and small screens without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
The illustrative software mockups on the Home and Approach pages depict reporting screens and include small print as part of the illustration. The information they depict is described in the surrounding page text, and the mockups are labeled as illustrative. If any part of them is unclear to you, the adjacent copy carries the substance.
